Planning essentials
How to choose your dance floor size
Start with your venue layout, your guests, and the way you want the evening to feel.

A dance floor should fit both your celebration and your room. Whether you are planning a Denver wedding, an Aurora quinceañera, a Colorado Springs corporate event, or a party in Brighton, start with the space you can actually use—not just the total guest count.
Measure the usable space first
Ask your venue for a floor plan showing tables, the DJ or stage, doors, and walkways. Measure the area left for dancing and have the venue confirm the circulation and emergency access it needs to preserve. Leave room for guests to reach the floor without moving chairs or crossing equipment.
Think about who will dance together
Your total attendance is a starting point, not a guaranteed dancer count. A reception with a packed dance set needs a different layout from a dinner with a short first dance. Tell us your guest count, event type, and whether dancing is the main activity so we can help review the options.
Compare our starting layouts
- 7 × 16 feet: a rectangular option when a compact footprint suits the room.
- 16 × 16 feet: a square layout that can act as the gathering point for your event.
- 20 × 20 feet: a larger square option when your venue has more room for dancing.
These are approximate advertised sizes. Final dimensions depend on the panel layout, and a custom arrangement may be possible. We confirm the fit and availability before booking. Visit our floor sizes and starting prices for current options.
Check the surface and access
The installation area must be firm, dry, stable, and generally level. Let us know about grass, uneven surfaces, stairs, elevators, and long loading routes before requesting a quote. A protective subfloor, when appropriate, does not replace ground repair or a structural platform.
Send your venue, available width and length, guest count, and event date. Those details help us recommend a workable layout for your celebration.
